Legal framework to support BIM implementation in Vietnam
Abstract
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is identified as one of five interrelated activities that could lead to breakthrough improvement in construction industry in the world. The public sector plays a key role in supporting and encouraging the adoption of BIM in the industry through creating legal framework, BIM standard and BIM guidelines. Receltly, BIM has been mentioned in some legal documents in Vietnam. This paper will present briefly about BIM, BIM-related legal framework in the world and current situation of creating legal framework for BIM adoption in Vietnam.
