This article will discuss the use of flying ash from Pha Lai and Cam Pha thermoelectric plants for the manufacture of heat-resistant binder which is researched into the fabrication of lightweight fireproof-insulating concrete. That kind of concrete with small volume density (≤ 800kg/m³), low thermal conductivity, and capability of working at high temperatures up to 800⁰C and 1000⁰C, can be used to protect the structural system under the effect of high temperatures in the civil and industrial construction.
