Buildings in coastal areas in a hot humid tropical country like Vietnam can make full use of natural ventilation without air conditioning systems. This option helps to enhance energy efficiency and building economy and can even ensure good health for occupants. However, the cool wind changes all the time in terms of both direction and frequency while the floor layout may not always meet the natural ventilation requirements for all rooms. With this in mind, the author develops in this research paper a ventilation control solution which incorporates natural wind pressure and a fan system specially designed. As a result, all rooms in the building will be much better ventilated.
