As time goes by, the architecture of tower pagodas has taken various forms, from small Buddhist shrines to large-scale tower pagodas and they become part of traditional architecture, with strong national identity in architecture included. Pagoda is a horizontal built form while a tower tends to be vertical and makes an impression on observers because of its height. Tower architecture is a unique built form and also the topic of this academic paper.
