Abstract

This paper presents the stochastic finite element method (SFEM) which is used to analyze the structures with uncertainly parameters. This method is a combination of the finite element method (FEM) and Monte Carlo simulation. SFEM is then applied in the realiability analysis of a plan frame in the buckling condition.
