Analysis of natural frequencies of semi-rigid connected plane frames
Abstract
The connections of plane frames are currently supposed as rigid (or fixed) and pinned, but it actually is semi-rigid (or flexibly). This present article deals with setting the stiffness matrix and the node load vector of the semi-rigid connection beam elements based on the finite element method. Thence, analysis 6 first natural frequencies of semi-rigid connected plan frames are carried out. The theoretical development is illustrated and validated by numerical examples.
Keywords: Natural frequencie; semi-rigid connection; plane frame; finite element method.
